There is a bit of light at the end of the tunnel for photographers with things starting to open up.
Many photographers have adapted to current measures by offering socially distanced sessions. Here are just a few of the options professional photographers can offer.
Newborn photography
One of the unfortunate things around the lockdown is that new life has not been greeted with the same fanfare that little babies normally create. It has been a much more personal affair, with just close family and can be shot safely in an outdoor space.
A newborn shoot can ensure that you can spread your baby news far and wide and let everyone see your new bundle of joy in the best light. These memories can also be treasured by you forever.
Doorstep shoots
Many photographers offered doorstep shoots in the midst of lockdown, although it seems a little bit strange at first, capturing such a unique moment in time can be great to look back on.
Many people have spent more time with family and children than ever before and when people return to work and children head back to school or nursery and things return to “normal” or close to it, some may remember this time fondly.
Outdoors photography
Family photos can be treasured forever and the advantage of a professional shoot is that there is no swapping and changing of the person behind the camera and you can all be in every photo. Studio sessions were out of the question during lockdown but are opening with the same social distancing measures that we are now used to in shops and restaurants.
A great alternative to a studio shot is the great outdoors. Local parks and green spaces make a great natural backdrop for family, couple or even pet portraits!
Business / corporate photography
In the world of social media the demand for small business and corporate photography has changed. At one point one headshot for the website would be enough but not anymore. It is very true that people buy from people, so hiring a photographer to capture you being you and doing different aspects of your job can be great to fill your Instagram feed with great looking images and put you head and shoulders (literally!) above the competition.
